A presentation and workshop for careers coordinators, PSE coordinators, teachers interested in using LMI in their subject area, teaching staff responsible for cross-curricular work, education-business partnership coordinators, work-experience coordinators.

Aims

• to increase awareness of LMI
• to explore two careers education exercises based on LMI
• to develop a strategy for using LMI in your school

Content

1	Registration and coffee (15 minutes)
2	About the workshop (20 minutes)
3	Introductory presentation (30 minutes) about LMI the current labour market predicted trends
4	Practical workshop 1 (45 minutes) an LMI exercise: employment patterns group feedback - using the exercise with students
break (15 minutes)
5	Practical workshop 2 (45 minutes) an LMI exercise: trends in employment group feedback - using the exercise with students
6	Discussion workshop 3: using LMI in your school (30 minutes)
7	Closing comments and discussion (20 minutes)
